On May 15, 2014, the Board of Directors of OGE Energy Corporation, the parent company of Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company, honored retiring board member and Lewis & Munday Counsel Leroy Richie for seven years of continuous service to the company and its stockholders.
Leroy is a longtime director of OGE Energy Corporation, having served on the Board since November 28, 2007. “Energy is critical to our future,” said Leroy, who served as Director of the Company, Chairman of the Compensation Committee, and member of the Board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. “I enjoyed learning and participating in the management of a fine energy resource during my time on the OGE Board.”
Best known for his work in corporate governance, Leroy is an integral part of the Corporate Services and Public Law Practice Group at Lewis & Munday, P.C. Before joining Lewis & Munday, Leroy served as Vice President and General Counsel of the Chrysler Corporation, Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s New York Office, and General Counsel to the Executive Committee of the United States Golf Association.
Leroy has also held numerous roles in various non-profit organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Detroit Public Schools Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Highland Park Economic Development Corporation, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation.
